1. Client Goals

The shopping mall in Kuwait sought to develop a lively indoor family entertainment zone that would naturally attract a steady stream of visitors, play an anchoring role in enhancing the shopper dwell time, and ultimately, attract parents with children. The aim was to establish an attractive, vibrant soft-play environment based on safe physical movement and happy exploration for children of all ages, and to have it flow with the air-conditioned setting of the mall.

It was critical to keep the play value and profitability high in a contained indoor environment, without the worries of outdoor weather. The client wanted a multi-story soft-contained play area that included soft padded areas with low-entry obstacles and foam components for toddlers in addition to an array of more active options—such as tunnel and spiral slides for older kids, and other attractions like ball pits, punching bags, climbing nets, rope bridges, hanging balls, balance beams, and interactive play components that help them develop important skills.

We prioritized clear sightlines for easy parental supervision from the mall walkways, seamless level transitions for a smooth child flow, and easy daily cleaning procedures to help high usage. A tailored indoor soft-play concept, the project created outstanding day-long entertainment value for the whole family – placing the mall as a top pick for shoppers looking for a quick entertainment fix that naturally extends visits and by default adds to retail exposure.

2. Our Solution

Designed for Kuwait Shopping Mall Environment

We crafted this indoor playground for the extreme heat and dense foot traffic of Kuwaiti malls, situating it in an air-conditioned atrium or outdoors under a canopy so that visitors shopping indoors would not have to deal with the heat. The two­-tier soft contained (with H1200mm and H1600mm platform heights as per installation drawing) adapts the whole structure to the length dimension providing a solution that maximizes the use of the mall’s vertical space will lead shoppers to more performative and longer visits, becomes the natural and attractive center point while converging with the retail flow.

Intuitive Flow & Multi-Level Zoning

The design effect is to smoothly transition children from lower gentle zones (low tunnels, padded floors and foam obstacles for toddlers) to higher active zones (tunnel and spiral slides, climbing nets, rope bridges, donut climbers and interactive panels for older children). Wide open sightlines and through safety netting, enable parents to keep an eye on their kids without having to abandon their shopping right from the mall walkways, and large platforms for group play, birthday parties, eventually helping social engagement and dwell time.

Mall-Grade Safety & Durability

All pieces have rounded edges, thick impact-absorbing padding, and non-slip surfaces where we see the most traffic. Constructed of commercial-grade fire-retardant material that is easy to clean and complies with EN1176/ASTM, the unit is designed for heavy daily use and continues to stay looking clean – ideal for mall busy day directions and low maintenance.

Vibrant Indoor Adventure Theme

Bright hues, ocean-themed decor (fish panels, coral motifs, and wave patterns) and elements of fun combine to create an underwater experience that delights families. The unifying theme provides not only good play value, but also acts as a visual beacon for the mall’s family focus, drawing traffic into neighboring retailers.

Designed specifically for Kuwait’s high-traffic shopping malls, the expansive multi-level soft-contained framework (11.6m x 11.6m footprint with repeated H1200/H1160 platforms) maximizes vertical space in air-conditioned atria, accommodating large family crowds while offering layered play zones from calm lower areas to energetic upper levels, ensuring efficient circulation in busy retail settings.

Safe Toddler Zones Adapted to Mall Flow

Lower platforms feature extensive cushioned flooring, foam obstacles, low tunnels, and gentle entry points, creating protected spaces ideal for young children in a mall where parents shop nearby—promoting early motor skills with constant visibility from surrounding walkways.

Variety of Slides & Climbing Challenges
