1. Client Goals & Challenges

Seferady Estates management in Monticello, New York, saw the opportunity for a vibrant, long-term outdoor recreational space that would naturally draw families from the community. The main objective was to create an exciting, highly participatory outdoor play environment that encourages safe physical activity, healthy exploration, and social engagement for children of different age groups.

Bringing a commercial-grade outdoor project from an overseas manufacturer to the US market, however, involved a unique set of complex hurdles the client had to overcome.

• The Issue of Exact Customization: The client had some very specific ideas about the layout and space available for their estate grounds. Standard catalog templates just wouldn’t do. They needed a manufacturer willing to listen to their feedback, interpret their rough ideas, and tweak engineering drawings until the design perfectly optimized their available land while meeting the stringent American safety clearances.
• The Logistics & Custom Clearance Nightmare: For a commercial customer that does not deal in international trade, the process of international ocean freight, US customs clearance, bonded warehouse fees, and local inland trucking to upstate New York can be a daunting task. The client was a bundle of nerves about unexpected port delays, hidden tariffs, and the logistics of heavy container unloading at their doorstep.
• Installation & Assembly Anxiety: Assembling heavy-duty, outdoor commercial-grade equipment requires the utmost care and precision. We were concerned that the multiple structures (Set 1, Set 2, and a standalone swing set) were going to make the installation process too complicated for the local setup crew to handle and there would be issues with structural misalignments, missing hardware, or failing local safety inspections.

We started an agile design process to meet the client’s stringent spatial and aesthetic requirements. We worked closely with the client from our first concepts, integrating their specific feedback and ideas. Our engineering team proactively redesigned the initial selection drawings to incorporate changes to the platform heights, an increase in the safety clearance zones, and a fine-tuning of the slide orientations to complement the natural topography of the New York site. This iterative process of revisions ensured that the final blueprint was 100% bespoke to the client’s vision before a single piece of steel was fabricated.

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Logistics Solution Without the Hassle

We provided a full DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to-door shipping term, so the client had no shipping concerns at all. We did the entire supply chain through our logistics: loading at the factory, booking the export container, ocean transit to the US, US customs entry, payment of all import duties/taxes, and final flatbed container chassis. The detailed cargo arrival records confirm that the entire shipment arrived safely, packaged safely, and at the Monticello site itself, with the client having to deal with no customs paperwork or surprise charges.

Designed to endure the extreme and changing climate of upstate New York—from intense summer sun to heavy winter snows—all of the structural elements are constructed of thick, commercial-grade, anti-UV plastics and rust-resistant galvanized steel frames. Agility & Physical Coordination Zone (Set 2 Installation)

A specialized play structure dedicated to developing motor skills and physical confidence in older children. This zone includes a dual-lane climbing ramp with a timber frame, heavy-duty structural balance tracks, crawl tubes, and overhead agility challenges, all surrounded by high-strength safety netting to eliminate fall risks.

Integrated Heavy-Duty Swing Set Area

A commercial swing frame, heavy-duty and independent, designed with reinforced metal joints and quality, weather-proof chains and seats. This classic playground element pairs well with the multi-level play towers, offering a specialized area for exhilarating fun that allows several children to play at the same time.

It includes multiple setups of high-performance slides: from open-air twin wave slides for side-by-side racing to fully enclosed spiral tube slides. Each slide includes extended, smooth-deceleration exit zones to ensure safe landings on the community’s prepared impact-absorbing ground surface.
